Ray Kulak
February 6, 1957 - February 9, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ray Kulak, who passed away on February 9th, 2025, at the age of 68.
Ray was born in Edmonton on February 6, 1957 to Jacob (Jack) & Dorothy Kulak. He was the 5th of 5 children, all of whom grew up on the family farm near Stony Plain.
He had many interests throughout his life, including muscle cars and music, and was an accomplished accordion player. Ray married Roselyne Given on May 1, 1982. He was proud to become dad to Roselyne’s children Jay and Tienne. Ray & Roselyne welcomed their son Tyler in 1982. The family would go on to live in several locations, including Spruce Grove, Prince George BC, Edmonton, and Leduc.
Ray worked as a contractor, selling industrial pumps, most recently for Atlas. Ray will be remembered as an intelligent, witty, caring, generous and funny man. He was in his element hosting gatherings at their home, and was a fantastic cook.
Ray was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Delmar & Gary Kulak, and his sister in law Jean Kulak. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 42 years, Roselyne; his children Jay (Michelle) Watson, Tienne (Paul Gibson) Sleno and Tyler (Ginny) Kulak; grandchildren Kyle Bayrack, Kyrie Bayrack, Cooper Watson, step grandchildren Ben & Jane Burwash, and his great granddaughter Araiah Bayrack ; his sister Linda (Bill) Reidlinger, his brother Don Kulak, sister in law Phyllis Kulak, sister in law Penny Strome, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date. Memorial donations can be made to the MS Foundation of Canada.
