Bernadette Julianne Travis (Dayne)
Bernadette Julianne Travis (Dayne) passed away peacefully Friday February 11, 2022 with family by her side.
Bernie is predeceased by her childhood sweetheart Clarence Travis, her parents Frank & Helen Dayne and brother Gerald Dayne. She is survived by her children Teirran (wife Kay), Brande (husband Brad), Cherie (husband Kevin), Wade (wife Kristie), Bryan (wife Jody), Alison, Holly (common-law Will). Along with her grandchildren; Riley, Bailey, Andrew, Sam, Braxton, Ryker, Kianna, Cole, Reese, Tristen, Luke, Rorey, Haylee, and Maveryck.
Bernie was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend. She followed her heart by loving God, her family and friends. She grew up in Saskatchewan where she farmed, played and coached many sports including figure skating. In 1989 Bernie and Clarence took a leap of faith and moved their family to Sherwood Park AB. Herself and Clarence devoted their life to raising their children, becoming foster parents and grew a successful construction business. When Clarence was diagnosed with Early Onset Dementia, Bernie became the founder and CEO of the EODA Foundation.
Funeral services will be held on March 18, 2022 at 1:00PM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 13 Brower Drive Sherwood Park AB, T8H 1Y7. Celebration of Life to follow at 3:00PM at the Slovenian Canadian Association at 16703 - 66 Street NW, Edmonton AB, T5Y 0H7.
