Patricia (Trish) A. Downing

1945 - 2024

Sadly, Trish passed away on August 4th. She is survived by Jim, her husband of almost 53 years, 3 children and 6 grandchildren, of all of whom she was immensely proud.

She trained as an occupational therapist and spent many years caring for people in the community, largely in mental health. Outside work she loved volunteering and helping others. Trish worked to protect the environment and loved the outdoors, undertaking several long distance walks and cycling trips with Jim. Her pride and joy was her somewhat disorganized front garden, where she spent hours and loved it when people stopped by to chat.

Right up to the end she was so dignified, and caring for us all, rather than herself. She, and especially her smile, will be sorely missed but her spirit will live on.
