Glenn P. Quibell

1960 - 2023

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved partner, son, brother, uncle, and friend, Glenn Quibell, on January 16, 2023, at the age of 62.

Glenn was born in Edmonton AB in 1960 as the second of three children. He was an avid golfer after learning to golf in his teenage years. He enjoyed many years of golfing with friends and family. In 1995 Glenn graduated from Fairview college with a diploma in Turf Grass management. He would later take a job as Superintendent of Miskanaw golf club in northern Alberta. He eventually made his way back to Edmonton and joined local 955 as a crane operator. He would enjoy many years in the trade until his retirement in 2022.

To say Glenn enjoyed watching football is an understatement. The Los Angeles Rams were his favourite team, and he watched every game faithfully. During the NFL off season he enjoyed watching Hockey [Montreal Canadiens], the PGA golf tours, and professional tennis.

Glenn enjoyed spending time with friends and family, often hosting BBQs in his back yard, and boxing day gatherings.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Glenn is predeceased by his father William. He is survived by his life partner Karen, his mother Emilia, brothers Grant [Donna], Darryl [Penny], nephews Brandon and Dean, nieces Kimberly Nicole and Angela, as well as many friends and colleagues.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

A celebration of Glenn’s life will be announced at a later date.
