May 9, 1956 - January 10, 2023

Orest was born in Tofield Alberta on May 9th, 1956 and lived in Edmonton until he met Marlene, his wife of 28 years. He then settled with his new family in Sherwood Park where he spent his last years before going to hospice in February 2022. Orest was a wonderful husband, father and grandpa, always putting everyone else before him. He worked hard, had a kind heart, and was known for being meticulous in everything he did.

Orest is survived by his 3 children Jeff (Meghan), Brittany (Tom), and Ashley (Nathan) and 6 grandchildren who he adored; Tyson, Brody, Livia, Michael, and Avery, and Brooklyn. Also survived by his brother Ron (Loretta), sister-in-law Brenda (John), and brothers-in-law Brian (Cindy) and Gerald, many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Orest was predeceased by his wife Marlene, parents Michael and Marion Sawchuk, sister Sandra Hoffman and niece and goddaughter Pamela.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Orest and Marlene at the Wye Community Hall at 151 – 22559 Wye Road, Sherwood Park, AB on Sunday January 22nd at 1-4:30pm.
