George Willis Svecla

June 12, 1939 - May 24, 2023

George was born in Hairy Hill, Alberta to Metro and Dora Svecla as the youngest of their three children. He is survived by his loving wife of 62+ years, Beverley; their children Rick (Irene), Carolynne (Greg), Darren (Darlene) and Todd (Lisa). George is also survived by ten beautiful grandchildren and 6 wonderful great, grandchildren.

George was predeceased by his parents and both siblings Margaret and Nick, as well son Michael, granddaughter Jenalee and nieces and nephews. He was loved by all and will be missed.

A Celebration of George’s Life will take place at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Centre, in Sherwood Park (2100 Premier Way) on Saturday, June 10 at 1:00 pm.

George’s family send grateful appreciation to the staff and volunteers at Pilgrims Hospice for their care during George’s time there. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Pilgrims Hospice Donations.
