Caroline Schneider
Our Mom passed away on September 13th in the early evening.
She is mourned by her daughters Rose (Gordon), Darlene (Dave), Marianne (Rod) and her grandchildren Jennifer, Kenneth, Christy and Jason and her great grandchildren.
Mom was born in Alsace-Lorraine France in 1925. She immigrated to Canada in 1951 and married our Dad John. They lived in Edmonton where they raised a family of three daughters. Mom was a hard worker and always gave more than she took. She loved her garden, sewing and cooking which gave us all the very best food and clothing. Later in life, she picked up a paintbrush and started her years as a beautiful artist transferring her love of nature and the outdoors to canvas. Mom and Dad moved to Sherwood Park in 1988. Dad passed away in 1997 and Mom did her best to carry on. In 2016 she moved to Glastonbury Mews in Edmonton and was lovingly cared for by so many wonderful folks however, it is very important that we honour and thank ‘Marie” (Marienet) who became not only Mom’s caregiver but also her friend and we are forever grateful to her for that.
In accordance with Mom’s wishes, there will be no service. Her life and legacy will be celebrated by all those who knew and loved her and as her daughters; we are so very blessed to have had you as our Mom. “Auf Wiedersehen” Mom…we Love you.
